The Economic Substance Filing Portal can be accessed by businesses through the Ministry of Finance Economic Substance\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mof.gov.ae\/en\/StrategicPartnerships\/Pages\/ESR.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">webpage<\/a>.<\/p><p>The Economic Substance Regulations only apply to businesses carrying on a Relevant Activity. More information on what is a Relevant Activity can be found by <a href=\"https:\/\/vac.wrc.mybluehost.me\/esr-law\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">clicking here<\/a><\/p><p>For many businesses, the first deadline for the submission of the Economic Substance Notification and Report on the Ministry of Finance filing portal will be\u00a0<strong>31 December 2020<\/strong>.
